2024 DANCE THEATRE - 紙ノ子 - TOYOTA
The curtain opens. The performance starts with a solo by one dancer, and gradually the sound fills the venue. A body in motion and two other bodies slowly swaying around it. And another body that should have been in the audience. The dancers respond to each other and gradually share time and space, crossing as if to confirm each other's bodies. Four and one, individual and group, a dynamic body is released from the stage and invades the audience. The rhythm of sound and breathing rises with the heat. Six bodies appear on the stage, and the circular stage of the rural theater gradually begins to move. Bodies spin on the rotating stage. The heavy sound of wood reverberates, and only two bodies remain on the stage. The curtain closes as if to pass on the present and gift it to the future. The sound of the single body continuing to move in motion stops. Silence signifying the end of the performance. Applause rings out on the rural theater stage. A moment in history has been carved out.

幕が開く。1人のダンサーのソロからステージはスタートし、徐々に音が会場を包む。躍動する身体とゆっくりとその周りを、揺れ動く2つの身体。そして、客席に居たはずのもう一つの身体。人のダンサーが呼応し合い徐々に時間と空間を共有し、互いの身体を確かめ合うように交差する。4つと1つ、個と群、ステージから放たれ客席を侵食する躍動する身体。熱気と共に上がる音のリズム、呼吸のリズム。ステージに6つの身体が現れ農村舞台の円形ステージは徐々に動きだす。廻る舞台で回る身体。木材の重厚感のある音が響き渡り、ステージに2つの身体のみが残り、受け継がれ今を未来に贈るかのように幕が閉まる。躍動し続けている一つの身体の音がやむ。終演を意味する静寂。拍手が鳴り響く農村舞台。一刻の歴史を刻んだ。
